Martin Jullum.

I work on making statistical and machine learning methods useful, understandable, and trustworthy.

I am a researcher at the Norwegian Computing Center in Oslo. Much of my work concerns explainable AI: understanding predictions from complex models, particularly through Shapley values and counterfactual explanations.

I also work with machine learning and applied statistical modelling. I am interested in both the methods themselves and in turning research into tools that people can use. Alongside papers, I develop software and give talks that make these methods easier to understand and apply.
